The Personal Cash Register(tm) v5.23 is DOS based, Windows
compatible, point-of-sale inventory control software. It is designed to
replace the cash register at small to medium sized specialty stores. A sample bicycle store is set up under the demo company to demonstrate available features. Stores can change system parameters to meet their individual needs.

The PCR program includes all standard register functions (sales, refunds,
layaways, etc.), plus extensive reporting and a handy Balance-the-Drawer
module which maintains the cash drawer to the penny. PCR accounts for all financial figures pertaining to inventory control (sales & purchases) and
receivables (customer accounts & layaways). EOD and EOM reports detail general ledger entries for posting in any accounting package (cash or accrual based).

Instructions: 

To install the program, download the file and unzip it onto a floppy drive or
into a temporary directory on your hard disk. Note: A single 1.44 diskette is required for a floppy disk installation.

To run the installation program type:

a:install a: c:

   where a is the floppy drive letter and c is the letter of the hard drive
   where you want the program installed
 
If you unzip the file into a temporary directory on your hard drive, type:

c:\temp\install c:\temp\ c:

   where c:\temp\ is the name of the directory where the installation files
   reside and c is the letter of the hard drive where you want the program
   installed
